Allegory of spring

This oval calcite low-relief is an exquisite personification of spring.

A young woman, her nudity barely concealed, is depicted holding flowers in her right hand. They spill from a fold of her light garment, forming a charming basket. With her left hand, she holds back her veil just below her breast, revealing much of her thigh.
