Reproduction of a copper matrix from 1907 that depicts a Gallo-roman temple dedicated to God Mercury built in the second century on top of the Puy-de-Dôme volcano.
Excavation campaigns carried out from 1875 to 1900 revealed its ruins. From 1907 onwards many aristocrats would use the rack railway to the top of the volcano so as to visit the remains of that temple.
