Low-relief depicting “Amphitrite,” a Nereid (sea nymph) and wife of Poseidon (Neptune).
Her son Triton also appears on the low-relief. Like his father, Triton carries a trident, but his main attribute is a conch shell, whose sound is so powerful that it can be heard across the entire sea. He is shown playing it, summoning the waves in a display of mythical force.
This mythological low-relief was created by a Master Craftsman in Petrification using the ancestral encrustation on mould technique.
