Wine-growing cherubs

95,00 €

This calcite low-relief celebrates the richness of the vine and the joy of the grape harvest. Beneath the shade of a vine trellis, young cherubs indulge in the pleasures of wine, drawing from a barrel and sharing in the festive atmosphere. These mischievous heirs to Bacchus, the god of vines and celebration, bring the scene to life.

Every detail, rendered with the precision of encrustation on mould, tells a fragment of this joyful scene: the movement of the grape clusters, the cherubs’ gestures and the lively interactions between them. The composition is framed by a lush garland of vine leaves and grape clusters, symbols of abundance and delight, transforming this low-relief into a true ode to the harvest and conviviality.
